Among all of the bucket bags out there, this bag from Tod\'s manages to stand out. The bag is adorned with large polka dots in shiny metal, and in the month or so since I started carrying this bag, I\'ve been complemented on it often. There are so many bucket bags on the market that a design needs interesting details to be appealing, and this Tod\'s bag has just that.

Why It s the Bag of the Week: Nearly every brand has a signature box clutch, but few have the pizazz that Edie Parker brings to the table. There are customizable versions galore (remember Anna Gunn s specially made Breaking Bad version?), but this week I m loving the stripes and colors of this particular clutch. The blues remind me of the ocean, the pink is eye-catching and the silver is glam.
I find it interesting that you didnt mention Mark Cross considering there were a few Grace Boxes featured in Vlads excellent street-style photos. Its perplexing to me why Sara Lee purchased them in 1993 with the plan of making it Coach s premium line, spent very little to market them, and then unceremoniously shuttered them just 4 short years later a brand that goes back to 1845 and has a place in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, not to mention Rear Window and Grace Kelly lore! Fortunately, they seem to be in good hands with the new owners and Martha Kramers stewardship, and as Amanda stated, there s no time like the present!
Love the Sophie Hulme bucket that is pictured above. I m a Bottega Veneta devotee but just purchased a Sophie Hulme tote as a work bag. My Sophie Hulme convertible tote replaced the Madewell Transport Tote that is pictured above. The Madewell Transport Tote is also a great little workhorse of a bag, I just got sick of it and wanted something handheld rather than shoulder carry.
